TRAILS OF GRANADA

The province of Granada offers a wealth of beautiful hikes, from easy afternoon walks to high mountain adventures. Of course, many of those can be found in the mountains of Sierra Nevadabut there are also incredibly beautiful hikes in the natural parks of Sierra de Huetor and Sierra de la Alfaguara that start from our home.

On this page, we link you to some selected walks that we recorded ourselves. In the first section you can find the ones that start from our hostel, for them you don't even need a car.

Peñón de la mata

The main walk from Cogollos Vega up the high peak of the Peñon de la Mata where you have a 360 degree view around and towards the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Prados del Rey - Trincheras los Toriles - Cogollos Vega

An easy and beautiful round trip hike from the lodge, through woods with incredibly beautiful views of the village of Cogollos.

It passes through pine and holm oak forests, with spectacular panoramic views. This trail offers a unique experience, with routes that go through ravines, natural springs and ancient paths used by shepherds and bandits.

Along the route, you can discover places full of history and legend, as well as hidden caves and viewpoints that reveal the immensity of the mountain range. The diversity of flora and fauna makes this an ideal place for birdwatching. birdwatching and connecting with nature.
