How to get to the
Solana de Granada hostel?
Location
Our address is Calle Solana de la Mora 52, 18211 Cogollos de la Vega. By placing it in Google Maps you will find where we are located, unfortunately in some GPS systems the location is not correct but following our directions by car, bus or airport you will have no problems to get there.
Airports
Apart from the possibility of coming to one of the two largest airports in Spain such as Madrid or Barcelona and then travelling by train, bus or domestic flight to Granada, the two closest options for arriving by plane are the airports of Malaga (AGP) or Granada-Jaén (GRX) and from there it is about 25 minutes by car to get to the hostel in Cogollos Vega. You can also come by bus, first to Granada and then to Cogollos. You can see more information in the "Getting there by bus" section.
For international flights, very often Malaga airport (AGP) is the best option because it has better connections and prices when buying your ticket. From Malaga airport it is approximately 1.5 hours drive to Cogollos. There are also buses that go directly from the airport to Granada and buses that go from the bus station in Malaga to Granada. How to get there by car?
Normally, any navigation system will take you to the village of Cogollos Vega.
To find the best way to get to the house we remind you to follow our directions as navigation systems often take you through very narrow streets. Trust us, you don't want to drive up.
When you are near the village of Cogollos Vega, turn right at the first street after the 180 degree bend in the main road. You should open up and use the pavement on the left hand side and then turn completely right as the bend is very sharp! Then follow the main road without crossing until you reach the hostel.
Parking
As the public parking spaces around the house are for the use of our neighbours, we recommend you to come by car to unload your luggage and then park in the village. There are plenty of parking spaces available along the main road (GR-3424) and the walk is only 3 minutes.
How to get there by bus?
The bus line that goes from Granada to Cogollos Vega. It is the line 0305 "Granada - Pulianas - Güevéjar - Nívar - Cogollos Vega". In this link you can see the schedules and stops -> Timetables for line 0305.
The bus stop in Granada is "Professor Emilio Orozco" You can see it on the map on how to get there "from Granada airport".
The bus stop in Cogollos Vega is "Peñón de la Mata 1" This is the first stop in Cogollos, in the picture on the map we show the quickest way to walk from there, when you get out of the bus you will see the stairs right in front of you and from there you are only a few minutes away from the hostel.
Bus from Granada airport
There is a bus that goes from the airport to Granada, with several stops in the city -> see the ALSA airport bus. If you want to come directly to the hostel, the best station to get off the bus from Granada airport is "Granada Airport "Triunfo (Hotel Cóndor)" from this stop you are only a few metres away from the bus stop"Profesor Emilio Orozco " where you will find line 0305 to Cogollos (see above for further directions).
